We ascended Piper Mt. by the Piper Trail, traversed the ridge and descended by the Gunstock Mt. Trail, a nice 5 mile loop.
All trails were well-packed with good snow cover. No blowdowns. One crossing at beginning of Piper Trail had ice-covered rocks but wasn't bad.
We wore Microspike ST's for the entire hike and they were ideal.
Beautiful but cold and windy day in this appealing range. Long views in all directions from the peaks and many viewpoints. Great day.
