Hiked up Pitchoff Mt from the west trailhead (across from Cascade's trailhead). The trail was in good shape, mostly dry, with very little blowdown. There were a few patches of ice/snow near the top, but nothing you couldn't step around. No bugs to worry about yet. If you do this hike, make sure to take the side trip to the ledge with the balanced rocks (about 1.5 miles from the start).
