Somehow, I've never taken a hike at Bear Brook before, which is kind of sad since I live less than 30 minutes from it. But I decided to check it out on Friday, and was left pleasantly surprised with the trails. I only hiked for about 5 miles or so, but it was enough to want me to come back and explore more.
During the hike, we went up Catamount Hill, and explored a few other trails to its east. I was surprised that it had a fairly open view near the summit. Now here are some pics of the area.

Hazy view of some distant peaks...I think the two humps are Mt Kearsarge
Top of the hill WITHOUT snow (pathetic)
blue sky much?
Bobcat track!
Icy brook
headed back
I hope you enjoy the pics!!
