Plymouth Mountain via Plymouth Mountain Trail
Date of Hike: Tuesday, September 16, 2008
Trail Conditions: Wet, muddy
Special Equipment Required:
Comments:
Parking area sign in described in AMC guide is obscured by a branch. By the looks of it, area is seldom used.
First half of the trail is very wet and grown in with prickers - glad I didn't wear shorts! Brook crossing no problem, but trail was very muddy and grass/weeds/prickers a good 4-5 feet tall.
Once in the woods proper, there are a decent number of branches and trees down. Trail is marked by surveyor tape and occasional wooden sign. Appears to be very seldom used.
I'll be surprised if this remains in the next AMC Southern New England Guide.
