Climbed from Marcy Airfield to Porter and then down to the Cascade pass where we'd spotted a second car.

Trail conditions: - steep trail from the airfield to Blueberry mountain but dry and good footing. A little muddier and tighter trail while climbing up to Porter but not too bad. Once on the main trail from Porter to Cascade and down things widen out and there were a few mud pits but nothing too deep.

Comment: Lots of blueberries on...drumroll... Blueberry mountain. Enjoyed a good snack while taking a breather. Nice view of the Keene Valley from here. As expected the trail widened out once we got over Porter but no trouble working through the mud pits when we came across them. Got a little rain while we were on the top of Porter but it cleared before we topped out on Cascade so some nice views to be had. More rain on the descent made the trail a little slippery but not too bad.
