Trail up Cascade was very packed and a bit slick on some spots. Basic crampons on the snowshoes was plenty. We got to the split with Cascade and saw people coming off of Cascade like they had just fought a war. Apparently the wind and ice were treacherous. Having done Cascade many times, my wife and I decided on heading over to Porter. The trail from the split is well worn and in great shape. We arrived at Porter all clouded in with no views at all. The good part of the day was my wife completed her 15th peak. All in all it was a great day in the mountains.
