I am finally going to tkae care of Gothics this weekend, I keep getting backtracked and driving to New Hamoshire. My window for allowance due to work only affords me to have Saturday for hiking. I am going by the Ausable Road and up gothics VIA Pyramid.

What kind of precautions should be taken during this hike if there is rain? Are there any spots I should watch out for? At this point I have only climbed washington and Giant in the rain.

Unlike Washington there will be no ducking into the cafeteria for a bowl of soup to get out of the rain. I think the usual precautions to be careful on slick rocks and watchful of lightning should do. If it is really socked in I would suggest maybe another trip and waiting for a nice day to do Gothics/Pyramid. It is one of the best views in the peaks. Your time above the trees is pretty minimal but it is always a shame to miss out on the views.

Hello from Montreal! Gothics is emminently doable in the rain via the Weld trail and Pyramid but like the man says, it would be a pity if you have no views. Keep checking the forecast.
