I expect few are interested but I plan to do a Presi lite Saturday. This starts at Appalachia and ends at Crawford Notch but skips most if not all of the summits, thus cutting way down on those potentially interested:). The routes are Valley way, Gulfside to West Side then Crawford path. Its still a long day but cuts out elevation gain while getting 95% of the views. I set a deliberate but not fast pace. I was planning on solo but if someone want to join me let me know. Its a 4:30 start time so definitely something you need to drive up on Friday night.

Pm if you are interested.

I did this a few years ago and called it a "Vice Presidential Range Traverse." :) The only summit I did was Mt. Washington. It was a fun day getting all the views without doing ALL the work! Have fun!

Many many years ago there was a trip posted in the Outdoors similar to this, also labelled "Vice Presidential Range Traverse". Leaders described it as a hike for recovering peak addicts :)

Saturday's the Mount Washington Road Race so skipping the summit crowds is a good idea!

For some reason, I always liked the naming of this type of traverse in this fashion. OK....for the historians out there...were there any Presidents named in the Presidential Range who were vice-presidents first?

History buffs would know that only Mt. Adams and Mt. Jefferson were VPs before President....
