Here's a cheap imitation of a forestgnome post.

After the hail storm passed through on Saturday, I decided to head over to Thompson Falls in Pinkham Notch. A lower set of falls:

Heading back down, I saw a bull moose walk into the woods. Thus, I headed up an access road and bushwhacked around to meet him for lunch.

The next day, this grouse decided to surprise me near North Hancock, taunting me as I passed:

Finally, on my way to Conway on Monday (not the weekend, but close enough), I decided to do a quick walk up Foss Mountain. On the way back, I had to stop while this family crossed the road on their way to an afternoon at the beach.

As is often said: “a picture is worth a 1,000 words”!

Loved your video of the moose eating lunch! Thought you might have inserted some clever “Jeremy-style” comments. Dunno, maybe some reference to the moose’s crazy relative that you encountered at Zealand this past winter, etc?!

Hey rocket21
what a great post
really nice pictures & a fun moose video
It's always such a heart-pounding bonus to see wildlife
on the trails
thanx for sharing!

Did you happen to see that bill moose on the side of 93 by Meredith when you were following me Wednesday?

I think you are some kind of wildlife magnet, I always see moose on days I have hiked with you!
