Trail Conditions: trail is in good shape to this fairly scenic pond just 4/10ths of a mile from 28N. A big blowdown right at the beginning, we opted on the way back to exit onto 28N 100 feet or less from the trailhead as it was right next to the trail at this point.
Special Equipment Required: none
Comments: - looks like the trail heads to the right on an old road but it doesn't, the kids missed the first marker. Pretty but we were looking for a place to swim near where we were staying & Rankin wasn't really a swimming hole. Found Minerva Lake which was perfect for swimming.
