With all the bushwhackers here - thought someone might know this?
On sunday, a few freinds and myself went looking for the moat mountain ice fall - its an easy ice climb flow - off south moat. I doubt many climbers go there due to easy grade and approach.
Directions said to take high st to gravel pit (off Passaconaway) - follow an old logging to the brook (red eagle) follow brook upstream and then you will hit the flow. approach is 30 minutes from gravel pit.
we found the gravel pit followed old log road to the clear cut - and then followed the stream to drainage and up a good ways (more than 30 min from pit) (very dry) - never found any ice or running water for that matter. was wondering if anyone had run into this.
We gave up to head home and watch the game. idea was to get a couple of hours on the ice. boo hoo.
thought I would toss it out there - I want to check it out - supposed to be longer and easier than willeys slide, so I would think it would be tough to miss.
