Redington Wind Farm (ME) Special Meeting

I know some on this board are interested in this issue.

The Maine Land Use Regulation Commission (LURC) staff recommendation for the Redington Wind Farm, proposed by Maine Mountain Power, will be considered by LURC's Commission at a special meeting to be held on January 24, 2007, at the Olsen Student Center of the University of Maine in Farmington. The document and meeting location details are being posted on LURC's website this week.

The staff recommendation is for approval of the Preliminary development Plan. The findings of fact are discussed on pages 1-50, the conclusions are on pages 50-71 and the conditions upon which the recommended approval is subject are on pages 71-75.

Today LURC voted 6-1 to effectively reject the proposed project. Specifically, the Commission voted to ask its staff to submit a document calling for denial of the rezoning.
