I personally hope they get this. I was very sad to hear that the AMC has opposed this in the past. Aircraft carriers in the Gulf and coal power plants are much more unsightly to my eye. We need to embrace wind power wherever offered, be it Texas, Cape Cod, or the AT. I have seen a few of these installations and have no problem with them. Again, there are worse power generation options.

I would think it would make more sense to put these near existing tranmission lines or harness coastal wind area not far from tranmission lines.

A few turbines up on the ridgeline is one thing; however, don't forget all the access roads and power line swaths that will get cut, too. The infrastructure gets really big, really quickly.

Just heard the Maine Senate killed this project......lots of mixed reactions on this one.
