Ride board

Is there any private site that facilitates a ride board?
I make the trip up north at least once or twice a month summer, fall and winter.
Would love to reduce petrol consumption, split costs, driving, etc.
But I want it to be a private, member-only site.


Is there a private side to this site? That could work - one big thread.

BTW, It looks like the AMC dismantled their discussion group.

You could always start a social Group inside of VFTT.

The AMC forum is still there--just very low traffic and hard to find. http://appalachia.outdoors.org/bbs/index.cfm

Except for the Paddle Park and Exposure - Nature Photography, all forums are public.

If there is a sizable need we can meet, I'm listening. That said, if we don't have it public, it's hard for it to achieve critical mass where it becomes useful.

You can always use the "PM me for more info" trick which limits response and details to members of VFTT. I do this for some of my Trips & Events. I also have no issue with "Car spot" or "Car pool" trip listings in T&E as long as they are for some backcountry purpose.
