Road to Moosilauke lodge

Hi,

I'm hoping to hike Moosilauke tomorrow. Does anyone know if Ravine Lodge Rd is open?

It should still be open. It's usually one of the last to close, after hunting season.

It was open as of this past Sunday.

I had to drive down along the CT River today on business but was eyeing the mountains the whole way. Moosilauke is looking impressively white again. It's early winter again.

Thanks for the info guys. As you guessed, the road was wide open and I had a magnificent hike today. Snapper to the Carriage Road, and then that beautiful ridge walk to the summit. The trees on the north (left) side of the Carriage Road had snow on them but the conifers on the sunny (right) side of the trail were bare. Very surreal looking.

I had the summit to myself for over an hour today. When was the last time that happened on a gorgeous day like today? Had a very leisurely lunch with hot tomato soup, then decended via Gorge Brook. Fantastic hike on a glorious day!
