Rooster Comb, Lower Wolf Jaw 10-06
This route starts in Keene Valley, ascends a spur to Rooster Comb and continues to Lower Wolfjaw. Both views from Rooster comb were spectacular with the fall colors. The view from Lower Wolfjaw not as good but still a good look. We continued to the col and returned via south side trail.
Lovely carpet of fall leaves on the ground at deciduous levels hid an occasional puddle. Isolated blowdown and muddy spots. There was a bit of snow in the brush at higher elevations. River crossing of south side trail was easy.
