trails: ski trails, snowshoe trail
conditions: we headed straight up the ski trails from the base lodge to the summit of rosebrook which is in the woods just beyond the summit chairlift. trails were nice as the grass is still low. followed ski trails towards oscar (west peak) then found a marked "snowshoe trail" which we followed to the ledges on the summit of oscar. we then followed ski trails back down to the base lodge. black flies were not too bad while moving or when a breeze was blowing.
equipment: nothing in particular.
comments: nice afternoon hike after a morning bushwack. some great views along the way and some truly spectacular ones from the summit of oscar into the zealand valley, to hale and the willey range, and beyond to some of the pemi peaks. thanks to jeremy for a good hike.
