Finally after 4 years of construction there is progress. For those of you who use route 3 traveling north to NH (to the Everett Turnpike) or VT to enjoy the outdoors, the southbound side was opened up this afternoon from the NH border to route 4, exit 32.
Modern Continental expects to open the entire road from Rt 128 to NH, north and south, to 3 lanes within the next 2 weeks. At least the winter hiking/climbing/skiing season may be a little easier (sure)!
