3/22/05—3rd day of spring. Running solo with a couple of Jack Russells, it was a perfect day to roll up this short bushwack (2 hours round trip). Beautiful day, loads of sunshine, could almost hear that maple sap running...mmmm. Trail was completely broken out, never even consulted the map, did consult the compass just once to be sure I wasn't one of the sheep being lead to the slaughter. Really nice mountain as it turns out, classic Catskill ledges near the top. Great winter views of Westkill and Hunter. Having signed into the canister, that leaves Fir as the final peak to complete my 35' in time for the 4/9 dinner. Funky Freddy and I are planning on both finishing on Fir on ither 4/4 or 4/5. We'll be hiking both days (weather pending) in celebration of the Catskills and the completion of our 35's. Anyone wanting to join us shout out.

Hi Josef, It looks like Jay, Matt, Coldfeet, and I will doing this hike tomorrow - Sunday 3/27. We will look for your tracks. We will also be going on from Rusk to Evergreen in order to have more fun as well as slowly nibble away at the Catskill 100's. I'll talk to you soon. Take care, Fred
