19 Mile Brook Tr. and Carter Dome Tr. had a dusting to 1/2" of new snow. Both trails were very firm and well packed. Carter Moriah Tr. across the ridge was crusty and softer. Thanks to Mike P. and crew for mapping trail out on Sunday. Most of Carter Moriah trail from Zeta Pass to Middle Carter was somewhat obscure, but still easy to follow. I wore snowshoes in both directions so there's a nice snowshoe path now. Branches somewhat of a nuisance. Trails to Zeta Pass could be bare booted, although I wore my spikes, especially helpful along the sloping trail section just below Zeta Pass. Crampons not needed today. Nice sunny day with really not too much wind, which I expected. Water crossings are ok and a few minor blowdowns. All in all a great day.
