I'm definitely a fair weather hiker & still waiting for the ice/snow to melt in the Whites.

In the meantime, anybody out there interested in a tame hike somewhere in S. NH (perhaps one of the state parks like Bear Brook or Pawtuckaway?) to try out different GPS's in the field? I just got a Lowrance iFinder PhD (like the hardware, software needs improvement) & also have a Garmin Legend (software is ok, hardware needed improvement). I'm interested in seeing what other people have, my sense of the gps's so far is that the hardware is becoming mature but the software is pretty lame.

I'm open Sat May 14 or Sun May 22.

Pawtuckaway is nice, we did a traverse of the Park a few weeks ago. Also Kearsarge had no snow on it last weekend.
My wife doesn't like snow either and I'm trying to find peaks that are snow and ice free.
