San Juan Islands?

Have any of you been out kayaking around the San Juan Islands?

I would like to get out there and do a 4 day trip, but have not done any ocean kayaking except playing around near the shore off some protected beaches in Acadia.

I may go with a tour group, just because the logistics seem easier, just fly out and they do the rest of the heavy lifting. Any experience out there with any of the groups?
