On friday October 8, we did Noon Pk, Jenning and Sandwich Dome a superb short hike with nice views. We had a bonus on Sandwich Dome, a rainbow.

Saturday, October 9 we did South Baldface and North Baldface. I waited a nice weather to do it, and we got it. Despite strong winds and rain on Friday which made some slippery places and we had to be doubly careful. Because some portions of the trail are steep and technical and it's not an easy hike, especially when wet. A good slope anyway because parking is at an elevation of 505 feet and South Balface 3570 feet and North Baldface 3610 feet. The loop we did is, the Baldface Circle Trail and Bicknell Ridge Trail on the way back. It is gorgeous that ridge and I think it is one of the most beautiful ridge in the White Mountain. It is fantastic and especially with the fall colors that we had. This hike, it is a must.
The photos are superb.

Beautiful photos of some great peaks and ridgelines. Are you guys beginning to work in on the Y Alpine List or just enjoying some lower elevation hikes?? In any case, you picked two fine hikes and a great weekend to enjoy them. :)

Thank you Sabrina.
We do not do anny list of peaks now, except mine. I have a list of peaks that I made and peaks that friends suggested me. And I want to do and discover nices peak whatever the elevation. Also redo new trail on peaks that we already did.

I do not know that Y Alpine List.

The Y Alpine consists basically of the 100 Highest Peaks in NH that have trails to summits.

Here is a link to some info on Mohammed's page:

Just what you need, another LIST!!

If you liked the Baldfaces, you will really like the Percy's and I'd also suggest Gooseye.

There are so many great hikes out there -- lucky for us! :)

Definitely a nice set of peaks for a nice weekend. I really like your philosophy too. We all should have our own lists and our own set of criteria for creating them and doing them. Good for you!

Thank you, I will add those to my list, and look at Mohamed's page. I will look in the AMC Guide to find where they are.

Very nice!

Love the Baldies especially, but also Sandwich Dome. Glad you enjoyed them both.

Many more excellent hikes in Evans (Kevin's) Notch. A guy like you could probably knock most of them off in a weekend! 8 )

Very Nice hike and pictures Yvon! I look forward to doing those one day. I was up in the Northern Presidentials this last weekend, it was very nice but cold and windy. I'm not sure where the baldfaces are in relation to the Prezzies otherwise we would have waved. :)

Yes Phil it was very windy.
The Balface are east of the Carters.
You have Washington, the Carter Range and after that you have the Balface.
