Probably one of the nicest winter routes in the High Peaks. Never really came across the old trail, nor any sign of human presence from main trail to very tip of the summit. Lovely open woods the whole time, following Alex's perfect route selection. Great consolidated base on the flats and deep fluff on the steeps kept things as varied and challenging as the day was beautiful. Impromptu bushwhacks don't get more magical.
