Roads and Trails in good shape. Some blow down in the first mile of the trail into Bradley Pond. After this, the trail remains its usual muddy self. Brook crossing is an easy rock hop. Trail up to Santanoni shows no Irene damage until after the rock wall where the shoulder is open to the northwest. A few blowdown and quite a number of leaners that are easily negotiated. Trail to times square just occasionally muddy. Several blowdown on the trail to Couch. Trail to Panther fine and actually less muddy than usual. Panther brook is pretty dry though the erosion here is worse than I remember from June. No blowdown on the way down. Be aware that water in the pond is high at the beginning of the Bradley pond herd path. In fact the log crossing is pretty much floating in deep water. Not a good place to lose one's balance. Lots of people over the past week, though fewer today. Started at 8:15, out just before 5. Was the last car in the lot. Found a black towel on the Santanoni trail. Left it at the register.
