This from Hal Graham:
This Saturday we will continue the reconstruction of the red trail on Belknap Mtn. I hope to get to the sharp left turn (Old relocation many years ago).)above the rock steps put in several years ago. We need a good water bar at that turn.
A continuation of the rock steps above where we left off last time to get over that large slab of rock or even remove it out of the way. That area will be the fun for the day. If we get to the turn we can move to the Round Pond trail the 13th. of Sept. for some needed water bars and tread way improvement.
We have come a long way on the Red trail this season thanks to a lot of dedicated volunteers, Riverbank House, Jeremy and friends as well as some of our regular volunteers.
We meet at the upper lot of the carriage road at 8:30 with lunch, gloves, sturdy footwear, etc. Tools are always supplied.
More info [email protected] .
Next outing will be Sept. 13th so you can pencil it in your schedule.
