Trail Conditions:
Trail from Lake road to the Pyramid/Sawteeth col was hardpacked thankfully. Broke trail through 12-16" of powder from the col to the top of Sawteeth.
Special Equipment:
Snowshoes. I stupidly carried crampons and a ice axe to the top with me- no need for those. Looking over at pyramid it did look icy though. Poles were a waste of time, everytime I actually needed them they sunk out of sight in the snow.
Comments:
Started out a little chilly (-22 F ) but warmed up and had clear skies with full sunshine. I skied the lake road which saved a lot of time. 5.5 hours round trip.
