Big Rock approach.
Got a generous ride to Big Rock from a skier from Lincoln Woods. Easy crossing the river. Headed straight up the ridge, perhaps a bit too far to the East on the way up and hit some thickish stuff. Some trouble finding/staying on the herd path even up high due to snow depth/growth. Signed into the cannister at the false summit but weren't able to force the true, signed summit open. Took a more westerly descent route to stay out of the thicker garbage down low. Tracks are probably unlikely to be found higher up due to the high wind and blowing snow, our tracks were gone in a few places on the way down. Nice quick 5h hike and still made it back to Boston for kickoff! Thanks to Jason and Scott for the company on this guy whose bark is a little worse than its bite.
