What an amazing event Seek the Peak was this year. It's taken me several days to process pictures and write this very long blog post and it was almost as emotional a journey as the event itself. The Kilted Clan was back in force this year as we paid our final respects and tribute to our great friend Brad who we lost this April. The last five years have been an amazing journey with the friends of the Mt Washington Observatory and the rest of the White Mountain hiking community. We have Brad to thank for bringing us all together and we will never forget him.

Here's the whole story: http://theramblingsblog.blogspot.com/2012/07/seek-peak-2012-we-hike-for-brad.html

It was great!

Another great STP! Great to see old friends and make some new ones. It was great for us all to get together to honor Brad. The spirit of community which has risen from this event cannot be matched! Thanks MWObs for bringing us together each July and hosting such a great event, and thanks Brad for being their greatest cheerleader!

What a wonderful day you all had. The weather looked fantastic compared to last year. A terrific report and photos too. Looks like you and Nat made it up with no trouble at all. What was your time to the summit?
A wonderful story and tribute to Brad.

Donna:)

Donna - it was a bit of a slog part of the way up but yes, we made it just fine. Time was about 4:45 - not too bad. Pretty easy to slow down and get lost in the beauty up there too. I'm sure we would have taken quite a bit longer if we didn't have the time constraints of the memorial (and then getting back down for the turkey dinner :) )
