sewards horse trail?

I slept in my car in the coreys parking lot last night. When I got to the trailhead there were 3 horse trailers parked there. They where still there in the mourning. Do they actually stay overnight in the woods with the horses? I would think they would get spooked by the bears.

If you follow the Calkins Brook Truck Trail all the way to Shattuck Clearing you will notice some of the lean-tos have hitching posts for horses. In fact at one time one of them had a stable.

That makes a good loop trip by the way. Coreys to shattuck via Calkins and return by N-P to Duck Hole and out via Blueberry.

There are also 2 leanto's past the Ward Brook leanto that have hitching posts. The horse trail parallels the Blueberry trail for quite a ways.
