Date hiked: Thursday 6/5
not my wisest choice this year --clouds/mist/etc
Rattle River trail--bit wet, but decent until after last river crossing at 3.2 miles; all river crossings were fine with a bit of care; upper, steep section of trail very wet from recent/continuing rain; stone steps slick; tiny snow patches at junction (3300') not an issue--many skeeters down low--NO black flies today
Kenduskeag trail--much of it under water; brush a bit tight and of course totally wet; rocks/ledges as slick as i've seen in a long while-slow going; no snow; fairly new bog bridges are canted at odd angles in places; numerous broken planks- very, very slick (safer to not use them today-as my 2 dives would attest to )
top--cool, wet, totally socked in
saw not a soul
