Probably most do not know where Shepherd's Tooth is located. The easiest way to get there is Algonquin, Iroquois and then look off the southern end of Iroquois. You will see cairns marking the way to the scrub brush. From there it is a rough bushwhack to the top. My GPS had it as .16 miles from the Iroquois summit. There is a herd path but you really have to watch your step. Three of made it from Adirondack Loj in about 5 hours. Trails to Algonquin and Iroquois are in good shape.
