Hiked the Signal Ridge Trail to the Carrigain Notch Trail (CNT), and then hiked about the first 1.3 miles of the CNT when I then left the trail to bushwhack about 0.75 miles up the ridgeline on the south side of Vose Spur in order to reach the massive talus fields on the south side of that mountain.
The segment of the Signal Ridge Trail that I hiked was overall in good shape. There were a few minor blowdowns and some debris on the trail from the recent high winds. Also, there were muddy spots in the usual locations. The one major water crossing on this segment was very doable.
The segment of the Carrigain Notch Trail that I travelled was in good shape. Don't recall any blowdowns.
The climb to the talus fields never exceeded moderately steep. Predominately hardwoods for entire distance (along with some obligatory patches of hobble bush lower down ).
