Date of Hike: 12/30/2009
Trail Conditions: Trail still wet in places until the trail leaves the brook and head sharply up hill. Brooks aren't quite frozen yet. A handful of blowdowns, some easy to go around, others easier to struggle over. Tiniest bit of trouble following the trail in one place due to blowdowns and fresh snow.
Special Equipment Required: Some fresh snow overnight (4" low, maybe 10" higher), so used snowshoes the whole way but felt a bit ridiculous crashing and banging around on rocks through the lower section. More snow will help.
Comments: Late start so did not head to Lafayette.
