Date Hiked: March 2, 2008
Trail Conditions: Excellent, great snow cover throughout. The parking lot at Upper Hogtown is plowed out and there is plenty of room to park. No downed trees, all water crossings bridged over.
Equipment needed: Snowshoes with cleats.
Comments:
This is a great snowshoe, however, be aware that the first 2.2 miles of the trail is a common usage trail in which the hiker shares the trail with snowmobiles and horses.
Once at the 2.2 marker the trail diverges off the snowmobile/horse trail and becomes foot traffic only to the summit.
Great views from the summit
