Route: Up to Slide mtn summit, back down the CO trail to do trailwork, out via PE trail
Ran into Rockysummit halfway up the mtn so that was fun, Hi RS! And spent a cloudy lunch with RS at the summit with a fw other hardy souls out today. Then back down the Curtis Ormsbee trail to work on the trail. Took out one tree that was halfway across the trail that had no hope of survival and took out 2 large blowdowns on the PE trail as a bonus. Trails were very slippery today, wet rocks, wet leaves!
Caution: Be careful on the three log bridge on the PE trail between the BR and the CO trail as the heavy rains have washed out like 40% of the rock cribbing upstream on the side closer to the trailhead. With Hurricane Sandy, and more rain, it's only going to get worse so caution, especially if it's dark and you might not see the washed out cribbing..
