Trail Conditions: Trails clearing way down low. Dorchester Rd. is washboarded pretty bad in the dirt, and was getting really slick in the PM, and frost hoven on the pavement. Lambert Ridge winderfully consolidated in the AM. Past second ledge some tricky ice sections and a fair amount of postholes. Ranger Trail in the PM was tracked well, but in many parts a running brook, and a slippery mess on the snow due to the warm conditions. Only one water crossing of consequence near the garage, and that wasn't too bad. Both trails in good condition pruning-wise. Looks like they've started with the AT, and are working their way up.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes or crampons useful in warm conditions to keep from slipping all around (microspikes weren't cutting it), I found light traction essential, but can probably be barebooted carefully. Crampons would've been helpful on the ice once past the rocks.

Comments: Gorgeous day! No clouds, no wind, stellar views.
