Ranger Trail was muddy in several places but the mud is beginning to set in the colder temps. Lots of ice under a few inches of snow. Lambert Ridge Trail also had ice up high and a few inches of snow throughout but not much mud. No blowdowns, crossing on Ranger Trail was mellow.

We wore Microspike ST's for most of the hike and they were perfect. Carried snowshoes for ballast.

Not many views today until we got lower down on the Lambert Ridge, a lovely place. Fresh bear tracks near the tower. This peak has an appealing forest and must have an amazing view from the tower in clear weather so we'll be back.
