Unless there has been a huge change in the conditions in the last 4 or 5 days there should be no snow. I was on the east shore doing the Black Mt loop three weeks ago, and we got 4-6” of wet heavy snow Sunday AM that made for a long wet hike out. I was on Treadway this past week in bright sunlight and no trace of snow. Temps were in the 60’s.
One note of warning, the trails are a mess of down trees and broken limbs.
The Grizzle Ocean lean to has two trees sitting on the roof and more blocking the front. From what I saw around Black Mt. I assume it is more of the same on the Tongue; at least you won’t have to worry about rattle snakes.

No Down trees or other hazards of note on the Cat Mt Trail. It begins on the Lake side of Valley Road two miles east of I-87 exit 24 well uphill from Bolton to give you an idea of location. The summit is a tad over 2000 feet.
