Happily played 2nd fiddle yesterday while Peter A broke out entire trail to summit. Very pretty meandering path down low before most of ascent kicking in the last 1+ mile up. Open woods everywhere. Several water crossings, all of which held up fine. Extraordinary views east from clearing near top and 360 views from fire tower. This summit is just shy of 4000'. Plowed trailhead on east side of 28 between Indian Lake and Speculator. -Lucky Laura
