Trail was snowshoe packed and in good condition lower down, and became increasingly soft and slushy as we went up.
There were several small runoff streams to cross with some rocky spots.
Near the top and on the ridge there was a lot of thin snow and bare spots.
We were frequently postholing with our snowshoes on all the way down and it was quite slippery.
Snowshoes were pretty needed today, Sam took his off for a little ways along the ridge with pretty poor results.
Molly my beagle, seemed to do fine with some floundering here and there.
Really neat afternoon sunlight on Chocorua today, our best view was in that direction.
We had a great day despite the somewhat rotten snow.
