South Meadows Road Ski

Last I knew the South Meadows Road wasn't being plowed this winter.

Is this still true?

I was looking for a family friendly ski route and thought of skiing from the lodge road, to South Meadows, then on to Marcy Dam. Is/has this route been regularly travelled this winter?

Ishmael and I parked at the ADK Loj Road - S Meadow Road junction and XC skied to Marcy Dam on 2/9/08. It was well broken out in the morning and an interstate in the evening. Yes unplowed but a good family trip.

Parking is very limited (<10 cars) at Loj Road and unplowed East Meadow Rd. (lots of snow on the shoulder.

Get there early if you can.
