Didn't encounter snow until nearing Zeta Pass. Monorail to South Carter mixed in with bare spots including peak itself. It supported bare boots. From South to Middle Carter compacted snow, with little distinctive monorail, and spotty bare areas. It supported me well on way out, but on way back some punching through. No traction needed; snowshoes would have required frequent on and offs. A few blowdows but none problematic. Stream crossings not a problem. Gaiters for the crossings and snow advisable.
