Fabulous 9-hour 12-mile 3500 ft elevation gain hike up Gale River trail to Galehead Hut then over to South Twin summit and back to Galehead summit and back down Gale River traill. A bit warm and humid but not too many bugs. Splashy mud but no sinking. River crossings fine, but a pole would be good for both this and South Twin. Bugs not too bad. Both summits socked in. Many friendly people at the hut. Drizzled the whole way back but that drove all the bugs away and it wasn't cold. Hannah dog's 40th four thousand footer!!!!!!!
