Trails: Evergreen Link, Cold Brook, Red Rock;
Evergreen Link: gravel road that turns into a grassy logging road up to the Cold Brook jct..moderate grade right away but a quick way to get up there!!
Cold Brook: great trail that hits the scattered ledges for great views!! Of course as previously posted, logging operation going on about .5 mile below the Link jct., as our group split up on way out and one group had to walk out via the skid road and gravel logging road..
Red Rock: steep descent over towards Durgin Mt. and Great Brook Trail jct, with some overgrown spots and a good amount of blowdowns with a couple of go around big ones, but also some nice grades and good footpath..out and back...
Parked at snowmachine parking lot below Evergreen Valley Inn...really enjoyed this route to Speckled Mt with great scattered ledges for the awesome views...only downside was the walk out through the logging roads for a couple of hikers in our group..returned to parking and drove down to pick up hikers at trail sign on Adams Rd./Enid Melrose Rd. jct...hot day with a cooling breeze sometimes made the day!!
