Speed attempt to summit all the 8,000m peaks in one year

Under Armour is sponsoring a speed attempt to summit all 14 8,000 meter peaks 2014. The climbers will be helicoptered from base camp to base camp.

Hmm.

I wonder if we can get them to sponsor a speed attempt on the 4,000 footers....

Do the math. They're attempting just 14 mountains. We have 48. I would still accept sponsorship, even if they only supplied me with just 378 porters.

Nothing like a quick jaunt up k2.....Or Annapurna for that matter.My money is on some young sherpa with plenty of fire and young legs.Wonder if this "event" will push climbers to be creative in some of their routes to summit quickly and get down and on to the next 8,ooo peak.
