Trail conditions: Very icy + still has snow on the ground.
Required equipment: Microspikes or snowshoes with aggressive traction (e.g. MSR Lightning Ascent)
Additional commentary: Unlike higher elevations, this area still has full snow cover and didn't melt. However, that snow is coated in a thick layer of ice. On sections of previously broken trail, one just barely sinks in a little, making snowshoes somewhat more convenient than microspikes. Trail broken up to ore bed overlook.
