Square Mountain via Kilkenny Ridge Trail & Bushwhack: 01-Sep-2008

Trail Conditions: I hiked the Kilkenny Ridge Trail from the South Ponds trailhead for about 2 miles before leaving the trail for a bushwhack trek to Square Mountain. Up to the point of leaving the trail, it was generally in good condition. However, there were several large muddy areas that needed to be worked through which temporarily slowed forward progress a bit.

There were no blowdowns, and brook crossings were not a problem.
