A very straightforward trail on a sunny day that saw the clouds lift off the Presies, and lenticular clouds form above. Temp @ 2 summits 24 rising to 34. Wind<10
Gear: This left crust on trail very fine for bareboot or traction--microspikes good for ease, but crampons would be ok. SS not needed.
Note that a step off trail between peaks is sometimes thigh deep where crust not sturdy. And, between peaks watch yellow blazes carefully, as Hikerned's (and now my) tracks are frequently shallowly drifted over.
Rue the warming temps, and the slush that will accompany.
