Stratton Mountain via AT/Longtrail - 11/01/12

Hiked Stratton Mountain via Appalachian Trail/Long Trail with Muddytrails. Trail head is at 1844 Stratton-Arlington Rd, Stratton, VT 05360. Met several south bound thru hikers. Started snowing as we reached the summit, just enough to cover the fire tower with a thin coating. Didn't stay too long at summit as it was a bit colder than I was prepared for. Took Stratton Pond trail route back to trail head. From Stratton Pond back to Stratton-Arlington Rd there were quite a few blow downs. Looks like this would be a nice trail to cross country ski into Stratton Pond (with snow of course). Very over cast day and overall a cool and damp hike - still beats a day at the office.
